Dr. Voorhees is a small animal private practitioner who owns and manages her own relief practice in central North Carolina, NC Relief Vet. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Houghton College and then her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. After graduating, she worked for a year on the North Shore of Boston prior to moving to North Carolina in 2008 to be closer to family. Dr. Voorhees started her relief practice in 2011 and has enjoyed the flexibility it provides to engage in some of her favorite hobbies. She loves rock climbing, yoga, archery, and reads several dozen books a year. Her ultimate goal is to go whitewater rafting and bouldering in Patagonia someday. She lives near the Pinehurst golf resorts and enjoys spending time with her husband, mini Australian Shepherd ‘Emmy’ and cockatiel ‘Migo’.

Becca is a vet technician. Born and raised locally in Star North Carolina, she loves living where there are more trees and dirt-roads than buildings and pavement. Becca loves to fish, hunt, and spend time with her dogs; Binkie (Feist) and Bella (Jack Russell/Feist).
Becca's father, who is now retired, worked in the hosiery mill industry (Fruit of the Loom/Renfro) for over 35 years and her mother is a school teacher at Greenridge Elementary. She has a sister who is a senior at East Montgomery High. Her father always made sure that growing up, she always had a dog to call her own, so Becca's love and compassion for animals started at a very early age.
After graduating 3rd in her senior class from East Montgomery, she pursued a Bachelor's degree in Zoology at North Carolina State University with the intention of working with exotic animals; a mammal curator to be exact. However, after graduating and working in veterinary with small animals ever since, she has found that the joy she feels working with companion animals is overwhelming.
